Lebanese street food traders Shawarma Shack is trading from a Citroen H van. The H vans were previously used as fire engines or police vans in the 70s and they are now classic collector’s items. The truck that Shawarma Shack now trade from was imported from France. It is a special edition: it is higher and longer than the standard H van. The French call these trucks ‘nez de cochon’ which means ‘hogs nose’. Shawarma Shack sells fresh and authentic Lebanese cuisine, including chicken and lamb shawarmas: boneless chicken leg and thigh or spring lamb shoulder, marinated and cooked on a spit and served with Lebanese flatbread, salad and homemade sauces.
