Beetrice (spelt with two e’s as in beetroot) is a 1972 Citroen H van that was previously used to transport cattle. It was purchased from a farm in Lille, France and was given a major restoration. It is now the vehicle that Cheeky Italian uses to trade from. It has been decorated in a vintage-style and the wooden panelling was reclaimed from an old warehouse in Hackney. Cheeky Italian specialise in Italian street food, taking traditional Italian dishes and modernising them. Their food is simple and rustic, made from the best seasonal ingredients, and includes pasta dishes, arancini balls and mini calzone fritters.
